ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Seven new members will be inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame Friday, Nov. 4. The 2011 UCF Athletics Hall of Fame class will be honored during a dinner ceremony inside the J. Rolfe Davis Recruiting Lounge at Bright House Networks Stadium.
Former student-athletes Bernard Ford (football), Jenny Frank (volleyball), Greg Jefferson (football), Cliff Kresge (men's golf) and Jorge Magluta (football), longtime UCF Athletics supporter and current UCF football staff member Manny Messeguer and former administrator Art Zeleznik will join a list of 59 individuals currently in the hall of fame.

Ford, Frank, Jefferson and Kresge will be inducted into the hall of fame's Legendary Knights category. Legendary Knights are student-athletes who brought recognition and prominence to the University and themselves by athletics accomplishments as an undergraduate. Magluta will be recognized as a Distinguished Letterwinner for his achievements during and after his time as a student-athlete, while Messeguer and Zeleznik will be inducted as Honorary Letterwinners who have rendered outstanding service to UCF Athletics.
The UCF Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1998. In addition to the dinner on Nov. 4, the class will be honored on field during the UCF-Tulsa game at Bright House Networks Stadium on Nov. 3.
2011 UCF Athletics Hall of Fame inductees:
Starred at wide receiver for the Knights from 1985-87...totaled 111 career receptions for 2,138 yards with 21 touchdowns...had six career 100-yard games...as a senior, led the team in receiving on a UCF squad that had its best NCAA Division II season (9-4-0 in 1987)...the team advanced to the national playoff semifinals before falling to eventual champion Troy...named to the Kodak and Football News All-America First Team as a senior...also earned Associated Press Little All-America honors...holds several school records, including receiving yards in a season (1,180), touchdown receptions in a game (four), all-purpose yards in a season (1,627) and longest reception (87 yards)...became the first player in school history to surpass 200 yards receiving in a game...blocked five career punts, good for second in program history.
A standout setter for UCF from 2000-03...led the Knights to three NCAA Championship appearances...a four-year starter who was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year as a senior in 2003, when she also earned AVCA All-America honorable mention honors...earned A-Sun All-Conference recognition on three occasions, including first-team honors in 2002 and 2003...helped the Knights post a combined 84-39 record during her career...is second all-time at UCF with 4,825 career assists, and also ranks fifth in service aces (149) and sixth in digs (1,111)...garnered all-conference academic honors on three occasions...served as an assistant coach with the Knights from 2006-07.
A star defensive end at UCF from 1991-94...finished career second on the school's all-time sack list with 31...had 42 career tackles for loss, the seventh-most at UCF...finished career with 181 tackles...holds school records for PATs blocked in a game (1), season (2) and career (3)...also holds the school single-season and career field goals blocked records, having registered three in 1993...totaled 15 sacks as a junior, good for second on the UCF single-season register...had eight sacks in 1994...garnered Sports Network All-America honorable mention honors as a senior...selected in the third round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Men's Golf, 1988-90
Golfed for the Knights from 1988-90...claimed two career tournament titles, both during the 1989-90 season...led UCF its first two NCAA Regional appearances (1989, 1990) and a spot in the NCAA Championship in 1990...recorded a 72.12 stroke average in 1989-90, the third-lowest in school history...helped UCF win six tournaments, including five in a row, that season...UCF finished 21st nationally the year...earned All-America Second Team honors in 1989-90...after UCF, moved onto the Nationwide Tour, then ultimately to the PGA Tour...for his pro career has four wins on the Nationwide Tour...opened the 2007 PGA Tour season by finishing tied for sixth at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic...in 2008, he finished third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and fifth at the Verizon Heritage Classic.
Spent time as both an offensive and defensive linemen during his UCF career from 1982-85...earned a spot on the Orlando Sentinel's UCF 25th Anniversary Team at offensive guard...played for three head coaches - Don Jonas, Sam Weir and Lou Saban...played on UCF's first team at the Division II level in 1982...in 1983, helped the Knights post their first win over a Football Championship Subdivision opponent as UCF defeated host Austin Peay, 10-7...a Miami native who remained in central Florida following his time at UCF...serves as general manager at Coggin DeLand Honda.
Is in his third year as a special assistant to UCF football head coach George O'Leary...has missed only a few games in UCF football history...in 1982, became a UCF Athletics donor leader and has since served the program in numerous capacities, including as a radio network sideline reporter and a personal pilot for former head coach Gene McDowell...prior to formally joining the UCF staff in February, spent 18 years as general manager and vice president of Tropical Ford, turning the dealership from a 90-unit a month operation into a 600-unit a month operation...served as a pilot in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era and remains instrument rated as a private pilot.
Worked in various capacities at UCF from 1982-2009...worked under six different athletics directors...concluded his time at UCF as an associate athletics director, assisting with facilities master planning and construction management...also served as the gameday management director of football and was a member of the UCF Athletics Board of Directors...other roles at UCF included director of compliance and business manager...in 1983, organized the Knight Boosters, which later became the Golden Knights Club...assisted in the creation of the Varsity Club.
