Gregory Gilbert

Associate Director, Athletics Development

Greg Gilbert was named Associate Director of Athletics Development at UCF in November, 2012.

Since 1995, Gilbert has worked in marketing, business development and consulting roles with organizations such as Compass Bank, GE Healthcare, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and Medtronic Spine. Gilbert is also an executive board member for Mind Set Migration and is the creator and program director of RE-IGNITE Mental Sports Performance.

Prior to beginning his career in business, Gilbert was a member of the Los Angeles Raiders in 1990 and 1991. He also played in the World League of American Football in 1992 and 1993. Gilbert was selected in the fifth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, after an outstanding collegiate career at Alabama.

In his position at UCF, Gilbert will be responsible for securing major gifts for athletics facilities, endowments and program support. He began his duties at UCF on November 26.

Gilbert's wife, Caryl Smith Gilbert, is the head coach of the UCF women's track and field/cross country program. Their family includes sons Alex, Spencer and Osiris.
