Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

Megan Herboth joined the UCF Athletics staff in July 2014. She currently serves as the primary communications contact for volleyball, softball, men's tennis and rowing.

Herboth comes to UCF after two years in the sports information office at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. She served as the primary contact for volleyball, cross country, golf, women's basketball, softball and track and field. The Pirates extended their Northwest Conference McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports winning streak to seven straight years in 2013-14, and the women's basketball team made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, winning the first NCAA Tournament game in program history in March of 2014. In addition to her sports information duties, she expanded Whitworth's social media presence and assisted with the Athletics Department's major fundraisers.

Prior to Whitworth, she worked in the Athletics Communications office at the University of Alabama while pursuing her Master's degree in Human Performance with an emphasis in sport management. She primarily worked with the gymnastics and rowing programs, but assisted with all other sports. Her time with the Crimson Tide included national championships in football, gymnastics, softball and women's golf. She assisted hosting the NCAA Softball Championship, as well. Herboth capped off her time at Alabama by earning a CoSIDA Publications Award for her work on the rowing media guide.

The Altamont, Ill. native graduated from the University of Illinois in 2010, earning an English degree in three years.
