Erin Taute is an Assistant Director of the Golden Knights Club (GKC) and is responsible for special events, donor relations and stewardship. She has produced events ranging from the annual UCF Athletics Hall of Fame to the UKNIGHT Tour, where head football coach George O'Leary and fellow UCF coaches travel the state and meet Knights fans.
Members of the GKC at certain levels receive access to other events Taute has produced such as the Annual AD's Diamond Knight Dinner and the Fall and Spring Forums. On football game days, Taute oversees the club level of Bright House Networks Stadium and select suites. In addition to supporting all GKC and many UCF Athletics events, she also works closely with the sport-specific giving programs, planning events and engaging fans and donors.
Prior to her time at UCF, Taute worked at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in the Division of University Advancement as an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations.During her tenure at Miami, she worked with regional chapters to plan networking events and was responsible for many components of the annual Alumni Weekend, which brought nearly 3,000 alumni to campus every summer. Taute also served as a Graduate Assistant to the Miami University Alumni Association and worked with athletic constituency groups in planning social events both on and off campus.
Taute graduated from Miami University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Art in Psychology and in 2010 with a Masters of Science in Sports Organization. Her passion for continuing to work in college athletics stems from her athletic success as a student-athlete at Miami. She skated on the Varsity Synchronized Skating Team and holds three collegiate national championships in the sport.
As a competitive figure skater, there are extensive skating requirements and tests with the United States Figure Skating Association. Taute has passed her senior tests in freestyle, moves in the field and dance. When time allows, she also enjoys skating professionally for the opportunity to once again perform in front of a large crowd.
Born and raised in Orlando, Taute is happy to be back in her home town and working for the home-town team.
