GAINESVILLE, Fla. ( - The UCF cross country team saw three of its runners hit new personal bests early Saturday morning at the 6K Mountain Dew Invitational at the University of Florida.

"They've shown me a lot of heart," UCF cross country coach Johnny Gray said. "I'm not really resting them for these meets. We've been training straight through so they are on tired legs competing. They are competing phenomenally under those circumstances. I don't see any quit in them. Good things are going to happen in the future if we keep going this way."

Sophomore Anne-Marie Blaney shined with a third-place performance of 21:20.72, eclipsing her previous spot in the UCF record book as the second-best time ever run by a Knight.

Sophomore Amy Ankli was the Knights' next best finisher in 38th place, clocking a new PR 22:39.81.

Sophomore Heather Classe crossed the finish line in 23:11.61 and Jocelin Adona improved her personal best, posting 23:53.16.

Rounding out the group was junior Amelia Williams with her time of 24:04.08 to give the team a seventh place finish.

The Knights will take a week's break from action before competing at the FL Runners Invitational in Titusville on Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.
