2009 (Senior): Went at least 6.0 innings in his final five starts, including the postseason...Had a 3.86 ERA and a 3-1 record from April 24 to the end of the year...For the year, evolved into the Friday night starter and was 4-3 with a 5.94 ERA, striking out a team-high 56 batters in 69.2 innings...Hurled 4.0 innings of relief against VCU (Feb. 22), picking up the win by limiting the Rams to four hits and no walks...Went 5.2 innings in a start vs. Monmouth (March 8), striking out four and not walking a batter...Fanned eight batters in 5.2 innings, giving up just two runs and issuing one walk vs. Hartford (March 14)...Sat down all three hitters he faced vs. Florida (March 18)...Opened his outing vs. Southern Miss (March 27) by retiring the first nine hitters, and went on to post six strikeouts and just four hits against in 5.0 innings...Gave up just two runs on three hits with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings vs. Tulane (April 10)...Worked 6.0 solid inning in the win at UAB (April 24), allowing just one run on five hits, walking none and striking out four...Finished with 6.1 innings in a start vs. Marshall (May 1), striking out three...Confused No. 2 Rice (May 8) all night long, tossing 6.1 shutout innings, not walking one and scattering eight singles for the win...Was named the C-USA Pitcher of the Week for that performance over the Owls...Grabbed the win over Houston (May 14), going 7.2 innings with only one walk and three runs against while striking out eight...Worked 6.1 innings with three strikeouts in the C-USA Championship vs. ECU (May 20).
