UCF Honors Student-Athletes at 2013 Swords Awards

Knights hold annual awards banquet.

-Appeared in 12 games and totaled 7.1 innings out of the bullpen in senior season
-Allowed no runs and no hits during 1.1 innings of relief work vs. No. 17 Florida (2/19)
-Struck out one during 1.0 innings of relief duty, allowing no runs and hits against UConn (2/22)
-Tossed 1.1 innings of flawless baseball vs. Winthrop (3/3)
-Struck out the only batter he faced against Jacksonville (3/9)
-Pitched 1.2 innings of relief against Bethune-Cookman (5/1)

-Made 20 appearances out of the bullpen in his first year on campus and registered a 2.49 ERA while striking out 21 batters in 21 2/3 innings
-Struck out two in a shutout inning vs. LIU Brooklyn (2/18)
-Pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings in a win against Bethune-Cookman (2/29)
-Threw a shutout inning and struck out two in a win over Siena (3/4)
-Tossed two innings of scoreless ball vs. Florida State (3/6)
-Allowed only one hit and no runs in a 8-7 win vs. UAB (4/8)
-Pitched 1 1/3 innings of perfect ball in a victory vs. Southern Mississippi (4/15)
-Did not allow a run in an inning of work against FAU (4/17)
-Held Tulane (4/22) to no runs and only one hit in 1 1/3 innings of work, helping UCF grab the win
-Blanked Marshall (5/12) with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings of relief
-Struck out the only batter he faced against Rice (5/17)

Prior to UCF
-Played two seasons at Skagit Valley College for head coach Ben Silva
-Posted a 4-2 record with a 1.98 ERA, 16 saves and 71 strikeouts
-His 16 saves and 38 relief appearances were both program records
-Selected to the NWAACC North Division First Team as a freshman and to the Second Team as a sophomore
-Was also selected to the NWAACC All-Academic Team in 2011
-Earned two letters at Lewis and Clark High School under head coach Dexter Davis
-Named to the 2011 All-Greater Spokane League First Team and helped lead his squad to the District 8 Championship
-Garnered the NECA/IBEW Award for superior balance in athletics, academics and community involvement
