-Earned 2008 Class 5A All-State Honorable Mention honors, as well as Second Team All-East Polk County
-Hit .430 with a homer, 17 RBI and 36 runs scored during his junior year
-Named first team all-county after going .440 at the plate as a sophomore
-Also lettered in basketball
-Member of the Chet Lemon's Juice AAU club, and helped his travel team claim the Summer 2008 Under Armour Tournament title
