Baseball Takes Advantage of FAMU Miscues in 5-2 Win

The Knights scored four runs in the eighth inning.

-Had his first hit of the season against Winthrop (3/2)
-Notched a pinch-hit single vs. Winthrop (3/3) -Drove home his first run of the season as a pinch hitter in the 5-2 win over Florida A&M (3/13)
-Scored a run in the 12th inning of the win at Rice (4/13)

-Appeared in 43 games with 40 starts in his first year on campus
-Swatted four home runs with 18 RBI while splitting time in left field and at third base
-Hit a two-run homer against Boston College (2/24)
-Finished 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and three runs in a victory against South Florida (2/28)
-Pounded a three-run homer vs. Massachusetts (3/9)
-Went 2-for-4 with an RBI against Miami (3/14)
-Had three RBI in a victory over FAMU (4/10) -Drove in two runs and scored twice in a three-hit performance against FAU (4/17)
-Came in the game late and delivered a crucial home run and RBI single to help the Knights come from behind in the ninth inning to win at Marshall (5/11)
-Went 4-for-10 with two runs and two walks in the C-USA Tournament (5/24-26)

Prior to UCF
-Played two seasons at Central Arizona Community College for head coach Jon Wente
-Led his team to the 2011 Junior College World Series Championship Game
-Named to the 2011 Junior College World Series All-Tournament Team after hitting .409 in the series with 10 runs scored
-Played for head coach Jeff Baumgartner at Sandra Day O'Connor High School, earning four letters as a catcher, pitcher, first baseman and outfielder
-Three-time all-region first team selection
-Three-time member of the Arizona Republic All-State Team
-Garnered Arizona Baseball Coaches Association All-State Second Team accolades as a senior, while also being named to the All-Star team
-In 2008, was named to the All-West Valley Baseball Team, All-Phoenix Baseball Team and was also a member of the Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason West Region All-High School Senior Team
-Tied the 5A State record and set O'Connor HS record with three home runs in a single game
-Placed second in the 2008 Power Showcase International Home Run Derby at Tropicana Field
-Hit the "Longest Home Run" at the event with a 476-foot bomb
