UCF Baseball Takes Series From Rutgers as Good Strikes Out 10 in 4-0 Shutout
Junior Jaager Good became the fourth-different UCF pitcher to rack up at least 10 strikeouts in a game this year, as the Golden Knights blanked Rutgers Sunday, 4-0, to take two of the three-game series. It was the first shutout of the season for the Black and Gold, as it will head into conference play next weekend with a 14-10 record.

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Locked in a tight battle for the top spot in the American Athletic Conference, the UCF baseball team hosts Rutgers in its final home weekend in league play beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the baseball complex.
UCF-Rutgers Game Notes
All three games can be heard live across the Central Florida airways on AM 740 The Game with Marc Daniels on the call. The UCF baseball pregame show starts 15 minutes prior to each contest.
Due to an event at CFE Arena on Saturday afternoon, Garage F parking will be a cash lot. Refer to the UCF Baseball Parking Map for the latest parking information.
Rutgers picked up a victory in midweek play, defeating Rider 6-4 on Tuesday in a 1-1 week. The Scarlet Knights (19-19) have won seven of their past nine games, and surged into third place in the conference standings with a 6-5 mark after sweeping Cincinnati last weekend.
The Knights (25-16, 12-3) sit atop The American standings and became the third conference team to receive a national ranking this season when Collegiate Baseball Newspaper placed them 22nd. UCF has also jumped into the top-50 in the RPI.
Sunday's series finale will be followed by a fun-filled Easter egg hunt for all kids in attendance after the contest.
The Black and Gold will roll with junior lefty Eric Skoglund (6-1, 1.90 ERA) as he will battle Scarlet Knights sophomore lefty Howie Brey (4-1, 2.41 ERA) in game one. Game two features sophomore righty Ryan Meyer (3-1, 1.72 ERA) up against freshman Gaby Rosa (4-2, 2.74 ERA). The Knights' game three starter has yet to be announced while Rutgers will go with freshman RHP Kyle Driscoll (3-2, 3.40 ERA).
