ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The American Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday the league's all-academic teams with 11 members of the UCF baseball team being recognized.

The minimum requirement to qualify for the acknowledgement was maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2013-14 academic year. Matt Diorio, Drew Faintich, Bret Gordon, Tyler Hayden, Robby Howell, Tyler Martin, Brooks Morgan, Nathan Morris, Kyle Perkins, Sam Tolleson and Chad Whiteaker earned the honor.

A total of 166 UCF student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom by the American.

Classes start for the Knights on Aug. 18, when the Knights will begin their fall preparations.
