ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF baseball program announced Friday that its upcoming Black & Gold World Series will now take place Sunday-Tuesday, Oct.19-21. The event, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 21-23 and marks the end of the fall season, was moved due to scheduling conflicts.
Game one of the Knights' intrasquad battle will now feature a 6:30 p.m. start time Sunday evening. Meanwhile, games two and three on Monday and Tuesday will both get underway at 9 a.m.
All three contests feature free admission and will be held at Jay Bergman Field.
UCF's new coaching staff has been busy throughout the fall building an energy level that has excited the entire program. This series will provide fans with a great opportunity to check out the 2009 edition of the Knights before they return to the field after the holiday break.
The Black and Gold's season-opener is slated for Feb. 20 against Virginia Commonwealth in Orlando. Check back to UCFAthletics.com soon for the release of the entire schedule along with ticket information.
