ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Already receiving plenty of praise for the 2010 recruiting class, the UCF baseball team achieved its second top-10 ranking when Baseball America gave the Knights the No. 10 spot in its top 25. On Sept. 17, the class was ranked No. 4 in the nation by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the Knights' highest ranking in program history.
"This is another tremendous accomplishment for our baseball program," said second-year head coach Terry Rooney. "To be recognized as having a top-10 class in the nation demonstrates the positive direction which UCF baseball is headed."
UCF once again earned the best ranking of any program in Conference USA, as Rice also entered the Baseball America list at No. 21.
The Black and Gold's class is made up of 21 players with 10 of those Knights bringing in experience from junior colleges. Meanwhile, six of those recruits were previously selected in the MLB Draft.

The Knights are already getting a taste of Division I ball as they concluded their third week of fall camp Tuesday morning during UCF's annual scout day.
Fans looking to catch a glimpse of the Knights may do so throughout the month of October as practices are open to the public. This week, UCF will hold workouts Thursday and Friday mornings as well as a Sunday evening scrimmage beginning at 5 p.m.
Fall camp will come to a close with the Black and Gold World Series in early November. Game ones one and two are set for Nov. 3 and No. 5 at 8:15 a.m., respectively, while the third and final contest is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. All games will have free admission.
