The Knights improved to 3-2 all-time against Southern Miss. UCF is now 7-2 when holding opponents under 70.
The team took a 37-26 lead into the half against the Golden Eagles, and improved to 8-2 when leading at the break.

Sinking nine triples, the Knights improved to 9-1 on the season when connecting on seven or more 3-pointers in a game.
With two free throws against the Golden Eagles, Jermaine Taylor now has 231 career free throws at UCF, surpassing Brad Traina for 10th all-time.
After totalling 31 points, Taylor has led the team in scoring 17 of 18 games this season.
Taylor Young dished out a career-high nine assists without turning the ball over. The sophomore has recorded 21 total assists while not committing a turnover in conference play.
Kenrick Zondervan collected his fifth double-digit scoring effort of the season with 10 points. The Knights are undefeated when he scores in double figures.
Kory Pugh saw his first home action of the season and recorded his first career rebound in the victory of the Golden Eagles.
