ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - For the first time since conference play began the UCF men's basketball team didn't have a weekend opponent, which gave the team a chance to spend more time on the practice court and enhance their game. Coming off a hard fought road contest against the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Knights (9-8, 1-5) felt pleased with what they accomplished in those couple of days.

"I think these last couple practices have been very beneficial to us," said senior guard Isaiah Sykes. "We covered a lot. We went over the primary plays for what we're trying to do. I think the team is starting to understand and we've been executing better in these past couple of practices."

On Wednesday night, UCF will face off against an old Conference USA foe in the Memphis Tigers (15-4, 5-2) at the CFE Arena for their seventh American Athletic Conference contest of the season. To find out more of what head coach Donnie Jones and the players had to say about the matchup, watch the video above.

Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM. Follow UCFKnights.com for complete coverage.
