ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With summer quickly approaching, now is the time for parents to sign their children up for the 2009 Kirk Speraw Basketball Camps. The camps, which will take place in June, offer opportunities for children of all ages and ability levels to improve on their basketball skills while having a fun experience.
Three sessions of the camp are scheduled: June 8-12, June 15-19 and June 22-26 at the UCF Basketball Practice Facility, which is located behind the UCF Arena.
The camps are open to children ages 7-17. Each camper will receive a UCF basketball, camp t-shirt and a daily lunch. Each day, the camps begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
Children learn a wide range of fundamentals at the camps, and also enjoy 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition, plus daily contests. Counselors include members of the UCF coaching staff, former UCF players and current Knights.
Enrollment is limited, so apply early before sessions close. For more information, contact the UCF basketball office at (407) 823-5805.
