INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. ( – The NCAA national office announced the 2012-13 NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data on Wednesday, and the UCF men's basketball team showed very well.

UCF’s multi-year rate for 2012-13 was 943, which is the highest score ever for the Knights men’s basketball team since the APR was introduced in 2004.  It was 23 points higher than UCF’s score in 2011-12.

Additionally, UCF Men’s Basketball’s perfect score of 1000 for the 2012-13 season alone marks the first time ever the Knights achieved the honor.

"We couldn't be more proud of what these guys accomplished in the classroom," Head Coach Donnie Jones said. "Our program's ability to excel academically as well as athletically is integral to our success, and our scores in the most recent APR release are an example of the type of achievement we are always striving for."
