ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior forward Keith Clanton showed off a well-rounded game the last few weeks in China as part of the 2011 Reach USA Cultural Exchange Trip. Clanton was a member of a college all-star team that played nine games in the Far East against club teams.
Clanton, who was named to the 2010-11 All-Conference USA Third Team, averaged 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in China. The Orlando native also averaged 1.4 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest. His team went 6-2-1 (yes, there was a tie) during the tour.
The trip to the Far East was organized by Sports Reach, a Christian ministry based out of Kentucky.
On Saturday, in his team's final game, Clanton recorded 14 points and 17 rebounds in a win over a Brazilian squad. He had some talented teammates in China as his Reach USA squad featured standouts including Jordan Hulls and Victor Oladipo of Indiana, Malik Story of Nevada, Garlon Green of TCU and Eloy Vargas of Kentucky.
Hulls started all 32 games this past season, and averaged 11.0 points. Oladipo averaged 7.4 points for the Hoosiers. Story averaged a team-high 14.5 points and Green was second on his team in scoring at 11.2 points an outing. A member of Kentucky's Final Four squad, Vargas appeared in all 38 contests for the Wildcats.

His 254 rebounds ranked sixth on the UCF single-season register. Clanton blocked 60 shots, good for second on the school single-season list. At 1.8 blocks per game, he ranked third in C-USA and 68th nationally in the category.
