ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The UCF men's basketball team returned to the court for off-season practice last week, and on Tuesday we caught up with sophomore Justin McBride and junior Staphon Blair after practice for an update on the Knights.

The team has been working on strength and conditioning all summer long, and the Knights have been getting on the court when the NCAA regulations allow.  This week was the first time that the entire team was able to work together as the freshmen finally joined the crew.

"It's been amazing," McBride said. "The off-season has been going really smooth. Everybody's been working extremely hard, and everybody gets along so it makes it a lot easier to push each other."

"The off-season has been going great this summer," Blair said. "Our main focus right now is defense. Defense is everything. That's what Coach always preaches to us. It's defense, run the floor, and get open shots."

McBride, Blair and the Knights will continue to work out this summer in preparation of the 2014-15 season, which is set to begin in November.
