ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF men’s basketball head coach Donnie Jones had the opportunity to participate in a great cause this week. Jones accepted the Chillin’ 4 Charity Cold Water Challenge in support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research on Wednesday.
This charitable challenge, which has been making its way through the women’s basketball coaching staffs across the nation, is now working with men’s basketball coaches to support this great cause.
Marshall men’s basketball head coach Dan D’Antoni and women’s basketball head coach Matt Daniel challenged Jones to participate. In turn, Jones passed the challenge on to John Calipari at Kentucky, Kevin Ollie at Connecticut, Mick Cronin at Cincinnati, and Larry Shyatt at Wyoming.
The rules state that once challenged you have 48 hours to accept. You must film a video of yourself getting a bucket of ice water dumped on you and post it to YouTube. The person that challenged then has to pay $25 to The V Foundation. If anyone declines the challenge, they have to pay $250 to The V Foundation.
