ORLANDO, Fla. ( - Preseason college basketball magazines are now on newsstands, and as the Knights get ready for their first campaign in the American Athletic Conference, Isaiah Sykes is receiving plenty of praise from the publications. The senior guard has garnered preseason all-league accolades from the following magazines:

• USA Today Sports (second team)
• The Sporting News (second team)
• Athlon (second team)
• Lindy's (third team)

Lindy's also named the Detroit native the most-versatile player in the league. Sykes averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.3 steals a year ago. An All-Conference USA First Team and C-USA All-Defensive Team pick, he led the nation with two triple-doubles.

The Knights, who have posted three-straight 20-win campaigns, will face the toughest schedule in program history this season. UCF will face defending national champion Louisville, UConn, Memphis, Cincinnati, Temple and USF twice during conference play, and also host Florida State at CFE Arena.
