ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - While preparing for its contest at No. 7 Florida in Gainesville, the UCF men's basketball team enjoyed a unique Thanksgiving Thursday. The Knights spent the holiday with their basketball family.
After practicing at the UCF Arena in the early afternoon, the team departed Orlando for Gainesville, where they had Thanksgiving dinner at the home of senior guard Bobby Horodyski. The Knights enjoyed all of the traditional Thanksgiving staples like turkey, stuffing and apple pie, and also dined on pasta and pulled pork.
"It is always tough for our guys to be away from their families during the holidays and it was wonderful that our basketball family was able to spend Thanksgiving together," UCF head coach Donnie Jones said. "Bob and MaryBeth Horodyski were so kind to open their home to us and provide us with a wonderful meal. Our staff and players really appreciated their generosity and kindness."
