A very reliable receiver, Capers is extremely dangerous in the open field ... adept at making the first defender miss enabling him to pick up additional yardage after the catch ... will be a featured target in the passing game ... one of the fastest players on the team who has been clocked as low as 4.2 in the 40-yard dash.

Capers played in all 12 games and finished third on the team with 43 receptions for 456 yards, including five touchdowns ... matched a then career-high three times by hauling in seven passes (Penn State, Western Michigan and Syracuse) ... racked up a season-high 86 yards against Marshall, which included a career-best 65-yard scoring reception, the third longest of the season for the Knights ... caught at least two passes in nine games ... selected as the team's Most Improved Offensive Player for his efforts.

Capers played in all 11 games, finishing the year with 11 receptions for 162 yards, and one touchdown ... biggest game came against Liberty when caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown ... his touchdown reception, a 56-yarder, was his longest catch of the year ... caught four passes for 36 yards against Akron ... his development early in the season was slowed because of missed camp time ... missed several practice days as a result of the unexpected death of his father.

Capers was limited in camp with an ankle injury, which eventually forced him to redshirt ... saw action in the Northwestern State game, recording one punt return before sitting out the remainder of the year.
