High School: Johnson graduated from Miami's Krop High School in 2002 ... played for coach Joe Mira and was a four-year starter ... left Krop as the school's all-time interception leader with 11 ... seven interceptions as a junior, returning two for touchdowns, including one of 99 yards ... following the interception the Miami Herald stated "he will put the wood on the players, but what makes him special is his athleticism."... also had two fumble recoveries, 10 pass breakups and 98 tackles ... as a senior he registered 48 tackles, four pass breakups and one fumble recovery ... also saw time at tight end and was named the team's top defensive back as a senior.
