Steve Rubio begins his first season as a full-time member of the UCF football staff. Rubio was hired as the program's director of player personnel in June of 2007.

Rubio spent the 2007 season as the graduate assistant for recruiting and operations after earning his B.S. degree in sports and fitness from UCF in August of 2007.

He spent three seasons as a student equipment manager for Robert Jones during his undergraduate years working with the offensive line.

After earning three letters for Hall of Fame head coach George Smith and graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Rubio spent a season working with the program as a volunteer coach from June 2003 through August 2004.
