Postgame quotes following UCF's 37-19 win over Louisiana Sept. 29.

George O'Leary Opening Statement:
"Well, a win is a win. We just can't keep turning the ball over. Way too many penalties tonight. It's a win and as I told our football team, we have to play a lot better than that in the coming games. We made some plays, but you can't have penalties and you can't turn it over. We need to get that corrected."

On the kicking situation:
"We had competition this week in practice and (Michael) Torres got beat out and so did the punter. I have competition on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the other two kids won the jobs. I think (Blake) Clingan will work hard on Tuesday and Wednesday this week if he wants the job."

On the UCF Defense:
"I thought we put them on the field too much out there. I thought they had them out of the endzone except that kickoff return that caused some problems and the touchdown pass at the end. I think they are making stops. We had a bunch of three-and-outs tonight which was good. I think we put them out on the field too much with the turnovers we had though. I think they are making plays and are continuing to get better."

#24 Running Back Kevin Smith
"It's a special night for my offensive linemen. I just wanted to go out there and take what they (the defense) gave me. I think the offensive linemen did a great job once again."

#31 Defensive Back Johnell Neal
"Our defense wants to be a fast, relentless defense. When the other team comes out on the field, we want them to be like, "look at the defense, they're fast." We want to be the best defense in the league. We just want to be the best defense at the end of the season."
