On his team's performance against Memphis:
"We emphasized this week on giving one more step. Whether it is on offense, defense or in the kicking game, we stressed to them to take one more step and finish the plays. I think we did a much better job of blocking and tackling. With all both sides of the ball and the kicking game, I felt we played a pretty good game. It was a much better effort from last week to this week. I think defensively we did a nice job of shutting down their tall receivers. Overall, we kind of got off to a slow start, but our guys adjusted well at half time. And it showed pretty well when we came out in the second half."
On running back Brynn Harvey:
"I think he probably played a little too much, but I feel he has to be able to do that for us. Being able to carry the ball 40 times is something we do not see coming, but we expect him to be able to do that. He did a good job of running his feet when getting through the hole. But I think both Brynn and Billy Giovanetti played well, and that is what we expect to see out of our backs."
On the offense:
"I credit Brett Hodges for doing a nice job of controlling the line of scrimmage. Brett did a really nice job of adjusting well from last week to this week. I still think we have to do a better job of moving people up front, and getting our guys to get better blocks. Some of our guys are still trying to block too much with their arms out, and not keeping them in. But we will take the time to assess the film this week, and stress that. Overall, our offense did well moving the ball and controlling the flow of the game."
On the defense:
"Our guys adjusted at half time, and did a better job this week of wrapping up and making the tackle. We stressed that this past week of getting our guys to run their feet, and get the ball carriers down on the first hit. I give our defense a lot of credit of being able to shut down their no huddle offense, and maintaining the flow of the game."
