Team Notes
Game captains for UCF were senior tailback Alex Haynes and senior wide receiver Luther Huggins.

For the first time this season, UCF did not trail at halftime. UCF and Ohio were tied 3-3 at the break.

UCF's upcoming opponent, Ball State, was idle this weekend. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. next Saturday in Muncie, Ind.

The UCF defense tallied a season-high five sacks.

The two teams tallied a total of 19 punts, a school record for combined punts in a game.

UCF is 0-3 all-time in overtime. The Golden Knights last overtime game was a 33-30 loss against Bowling Green on November 20, 1999. The only other overtime game was August 30, 1997 at Mississippi (L, 24-23).

Player Notes
True freshman quarterback Kyle Israel made his first career start for the Golden Knights. Israel was the first UCF true freshman quarterback to make his first career start at home since Daunte Culpepper did vs. Eastern Kentucky in 1995.

Senior tailback Alex Haynes drew closer to school record for career rushing yards, running 26 times for 109 yards leaving him just 16 yards shy of 3,131 set by Willie English in the 1993 season.

Haynes now has 14 career 100-yard games for second place in the UCF career annals. Willie English holds the UCF record with 15 career 100-yard games.

Junior punter Aaron Horne's 66-yard punt in the second quarter tied for the 10th longest punt in school history. Horne punted nine times total for 395 yards.

Junior kicker Matt Prater's 49-yard field goal in the second quarter moved him into a tie for fourth place in UCF history with 32 career field goals. Prater is tied with Javier Beorlegui (1998-01) and Scott Ryerson (1980-83) in the UCF annals.

Junior defensive end Paul Carrington recorded his first career interception in the second quarter. The interception was also the first of the year by a UCF defensive linemen. Carrington also contributed a first quarter sack in the Golden Knights stalwart defensive effort.

Sophomore cornerback Travonti Johnson tallied his second career interception (second of the season) in the second quarter to end Ohio's drive at the UCF 34-yard line.

Junior defensive end Glenroy Watkins recorded his first career sack in the third quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Steven Moffett found sophomore wide receiver Mike Walker on a 70-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. The completion was the longest of Moffett's career while the reception was the longest of Walker's career.
