TEAM NOTES
-With the 49-24 victory, UCF concluded the regular season with a 9-3 record and a 7-1 mark in Conference USA (UAB fell to 3-9, 2-6). The Knights also posted nine regular-season wins in 1993, 1998, 2007, 2010.
-UCF has clinched the C-USA East Division for the fourth time in eight seasons in the league. It will travel to Tulsa Dec. 1 for the C-USA Championship Game at noon ET. It will be the fourth trip to the title game for both schools, which are tied for the most of any program in the league.
-UCF has tied for the fourth-most victories in a single-season, with the record standing at 11 set by the 2010 squad.
-The victory enabled the senior class to post its 33rd victory from 2009-12 (33-18 overall), tying the school record for most victories over a four-year stretch (The 2010 class went 33-20 from 2007-10).
-UCF did not give up a point in the first quarter for the sixth time this year.
-The Knights scored 35 points in the first half for the second time in 2012 (Akron).
