ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – When the 2014 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl champion UCF Knights made their way back to Orlando on Thursday, they were greeted by hundreds of UCF fans in front of the Wayne Densch Sports Center. It was a scene the team was very happy to see.

When the Knights landed in Sanford, they were even greeted by fans outside of the airport and saw fans waving to them as the team buses drove back to campus. It was a welcome fitting for a team that just completed its best season in program history.

“When you turn that corner and see all of the bright lights and the fan base, that’s what division I football is all about,” said UCF head coach George O’Leary.

Coach O’Leary also spoke to the crowd when the team arrived on campus and told fans the Fiesta Bowl Trophy will be on display during one of the basketball games so fans can take pictures with it.
