ORLANDO, Fla. ( - Chants of "UCF" rained down over the field as the Knights celebrated a huge road victory. The UCF fans made their voices heard with their school making a statement from its performance, showing off to the country what the Black and Gold is all about.

This is not describing just the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. This occurred all season long.

UCF traveled to Miami, State College, Memphis, Louisville, Philadelphia, Dallas and Glendale in the 2013 season and the result was the same every time. No other season had seen the Knights go undefeated on the road until now.

Even more remarkable, two of those victories came against top-10 teams. Entering 2013, UCF had one win vs. a ranked school (No. 13/12 Houston in 2009). It doubled that with stunning triumphs against No. 8/6 Louisville and No. 6/5 Baylor. The road show also witnessed UCF record its first victories over Big Ten and Big 12 teams.

And of course the Knights capped it off with a win in their first BCS bowl game for a school-record 12 victories. When asked about how much of an underdog UCF was going into the contest with Baylor, the coaches and student-athletes answered it pretty much the same every time. They did not care. They embraced it. And it showed.

The home fans delivered as well at Bright House Networks Stadium, averaging 42,084 which stood as the second-highest mark in school history. They were treated to moments like the 91-yard touchdown pass from Blake Bortles to Breshad Perriman to open the season vs. Akron and an emotional, raucous affair vs. South Carolina. Down-to-the-wire victories against Houston and USF cannot be ignored.

It is already 2014 and signing day is approaching Feb. 5. Until then, never stop enjoying the moment.
