ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - For the entire week leading up to the FIU game, the UCF coaching staff made sure the Knights understood what happened the last time they visited Miami in 2011.

The student-athletes got the message.

After FIU topped UCF, 17-10, in the two programs' first meeting, the Knights returned to the Panthers' campus in 2013 where they allowed only 31 rushing yards and just 3.0 yards per play overall. Blake Bortles went 12-for-19 with 214 yards and a touchdown, while true freshman Justin Holman made his first collegiate appearance by going 2-for-2 with 11 yards.

Storm Johnson would finish with three rushing touchdowns, Rannell Hall had 127 receiving yards and the defense kept FIU off the board for the full 60 minutes.

Two games up. Two games down. No heart attacks.

Yet.

Final score: UCF 38, FIU 0.

UCF's record: 2-0 Overall, 0-0 American
