ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Former UCF quarterback Blake Bortles and running back Storm Johnson have already begun making their rounds at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. And the duo will be under the microscope even further on Sunday.
Bortles will run the 40 in the fourth group in the morning, and then put his arm and talent on display for NFL teams. Meanwhile, Johnson is in the sixth group which will clock the 40 during the afternoon before taking part in field drills.
All of the action can be found on the NFL Network and by clicking on http://www.nfl.com/combine.
Bortles was the 2013 American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, leading UCF to a 12-1 record, a league title, a Tostitos Fiesta Bowl victory and a top-10 ranking. Helping to guide the offense as well, Johnson was named the All-American Athletic Conference First Team running back thanks to 1,139 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
Just two years ago, UCF standout Josh Robinson led all cornerbacks in the draft with a 4.33 time in the 40. He is one of several Knights who have gone on to put on an NFL uniform as the Black and Gold has had at least one member taken in the draft eight consecutive years.
