ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Temperatures rose a little bit Tuesday morning when the UCF football team opened week two of spring camp. Another element that was rising was the talent level on the offensive line as senior twins Jordan and Justin McCray are relishing the opportunity to lead the way.
"It's been good; giving me more motivation to do the right things, be a leader on and off the field for the guys and lead by example and also be a vocal leader," Jordan McCray said. "Coach O'Leary always says the season matters on how the seniors perform and how the seniors lead, and I want to make sure that we have a great season this year."
Justin acknowledged that with the duo locked in at the guard spots, UCF's centers could be in a good situation due to the amount of knowledge surrounding the position. That group of centers includes Joey Grant who spent the 2012 season on the defensive line.
"(Jordan and I) are able to help the young guys," Justin McCray said. "We've got Joey at center right now and we are both able to help Joey with him being between us. It's a good thing right now."
During Tuesday's practice, the Knights donned full pads for the second session in a row. Among those in attendance were former Knights Rob Calabrese, Ray Shipman and Jamie Boyle.
Spring practice No. 5 is up next for the 2013 Knights, which will take place Thursday at 10 a.m.
Plan your game days with the Knights, and experience one of the best schedules in program history in the best available seat locations at Bright House Networks Stadium. 2013 season tickets start at $99. To secure your UCF football season tickets, visit UCFAthletics.com or call 407-UCF-1000.
