Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following each practice, a general question will be asked of a selected group of Golden Knights. Today's question was:
How does it feel to get back on the field?
#59 Junior Linebacker
"It feels really good. I haven't been out there in a while, I've been lifting a lot and I just feel really good out there. We don't have pads on or anything, but we were just running through drills and doing some walk throughs. It has been a good day."
#7 Senior Quarterback
"It was great to get back out there. There was a little bit of the first day jitters as far as getting the rust off, but I think our team has improved over the offseason a lot and it showed out there today. We are just going to go from here and have a good spring. We saw some guys that were younger last year and have stepped up and really developed and we are looking at some of those young guys to help us out this year. I think we saw some of that today."
#12 Junior Wide Receiver
"It feels really good to get back out on the field. It has been a long time since we've been out there. We are just trying to rebound from last year and go out there and be productive."
#63 Junior Offensive Guard
"It was a great feeling, especially when it is nice outside. It is the most wonderful time of the year. We have sleigh rides, we have plate push, we have new facilities and quick agilities. I mean, it's the most wonderful time of the year and a great start to the 2007 season."
#30 Sophomore Tailback
"It felt good. I think we did well today. We are going to prove ourselves day-by-day. We do have some things that we need to work on, but I think we are going to be a good team."
#31 Junior Defensive Back
"It felt good to get back out there. We were playing hard and playing with good effort and getting to the ball. That's what it's all about is getting to the ball. But it felt good being back out on the field again with my teammates, seeing the improvements that we've made during the offseason."
