Orlando, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF football team practiced for the second-consecutive day in shorts and helmets for just over two hours on the fields adjacent to the Wayne Densch Sports Center. The Knights continued to work on installation and timing drills during their second workout of the week.

"I thought we had another good day out here," head coach George O'Leary said. "I thought our effort was where it needed to be and the retention level was good. We will be able to tell a lot more when the team gets in full pads, but overall I am pleased with what I have seen so far."

The practice schedule followed a similar pattern from the first day when the individual units broke out to work on different fundamentals during the first half of the session. Before concluding the session with full 11-on-11 team work, the offensive and defensive units spent some time working on various aspects of the run and play-action pass game.

The Knights will take Wednesday off before returning the practice fields on Thursday for their third workout of the spring. Thursday's practice will be the first in full pads for the team.

UCF will hold its annual spring football game on Saturday, April 12 as part of the 2008 UCF Hall of Fame Weekend. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be played for the first time in Bright House Networks Stadium.
