"Offensively, there are some weapons over there as far as big receivers that can catch and get (upfield)," head coach George O'Leary said. "I thought the kids made a much better effort this week than they did last week. Overall they are improving."

In the first half of the scrimmage, Sean Maag and Jamar McClain each notched interceptions with McClain returning his to the house, while D.J. Killings had a perfect break-up on a pass to Rannell Hall. On offense, Storm Johnson used a key block from Kevin Miller to produce one of the best runs of the afternoon.

After a break, Blake Bortles found Hall on a 50-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the second half. The defense answered when they were faced with a first-and-goal situation from the 3-yard line. Eventually on third down from the seven, Brandon Alexander knocked down a pass inside the five, then Demetris Anderson and E.J. Dunston got to Bortles in the backfield to keep the offense from scoring.

Also in the latter portion of practice, Breshad Perriman, J.J. Worton, Dareen Owi and Jeff Godfery had touchdown grabs, and Micah Anderson got the defense going with a big tackle for loss to force the offense into a third-and-long.

With two weeks left until the Spring Game April 13, UCF opens up week four of camp Tuesday at 10 a.m.
