ORLANDO, Fla. ( - Gloomy skies settled in over the Orlando area Thursday, so the UCF football team took spring practice No. 11 inside Nicholson Fieldhouse. The Knights, who just went with the shoulder pads and not full pads, spent a good chunk of the session on improving the offensive and defensive lines.

"Starting toward the end of spring ball they start to get a little sloppy, and you can't let them do that. So we spent a lot of time on inside run today on both sides of the ball so they can work on technique," head coach George O'Leary said. "We have a lot of installation in both sides. Right now it's the communication factor with everything and getting everybody related across the front. And we have a lot of young kids on defense and that takes time to get that done." also caught up with junior quarterback Blake Bortles in the following video interview.

Coach O'Leary announced after the session was completed that UCF will hold a full practice Thursday, April 11, instead of a closed walk-thru Friday, April 12.

UCF will scrimmage again Saturday with practice No. 12 getting under way at 10 a.m. The annual Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at Bright House Networks Stadium and tickets are currently on sale for just $5.
