ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Everything was in place. The football staff knew they had to be sharp. All of the hard work was about to pay off. Yet there was a unique difference in Wednesday's "Official Visits" to campus: there were no recruits.
The Golden Knights Club (GKC), which is the fundraising arm of UCF Athletics, invited top donors the Diamond Knights ($10,000+) to attend a unique event during the evening as they experienced what it was like to go on an official visit on the UCF campus.

Starting in the team meeting room, Head Coach and Diamond Knight himself George O'Leary welcomed his new "recruits," assistant coaches gave their introduction and sized up a couple guests to see how they would rate on the staff's recruiting chart. Following an academic tutorial, action traveled to the weight room, training room and Nicholson Fieldhouse for a group tour. It was then time to visit Bright House Networks Stadium including the locker room and the field itself.
UCF's staff and Diamond Knights entered the recruiting lounge at the stadium as well for dinner, watch a UCF highlight video and hear from Director of Athletics and Diamond Knight Todd Stansbury.
