ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The College Football Performance Awards continued its preseason announcements Thursday, and UCF senior Rannell Hall was placed on the CFPA Kickoff Returner Trophy Watch List.

Hall was one of 42 FBS players to be on the kickoff returners watch list. The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

Hall is the sixth Knight to be honored by the CFPA so far in 2014, with Clayton Geathers (defensive backs), Shawn Moffitt (placekicker), Breshad Perriman (wide receivers), Terrance Plummer (linebackers) and William Stanback (running backs) all picking up spots on watch lists.

A graduate of Carol City High School in South Florida, Hall has already been placed on watch lists for the Biletnikoff Award (most outstanding receiver) and the Paul Hornung Award (most versatile player).

As a true freshman, Hall was on the All-Conference USA First Team by returning 23 kicks for 714 yards and a 31.0 average. A year ago, he delivered with 29 returns for 689 yards and a 23.8 average.

For his career, he ranks fifth all-time at UCF with 70 returns and fourth with 1,753 yards. His average of 25.0 puts him in fifth as well.
