ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - One of UCF's all-time great running backs, Latavius Murray returned to campus this summer to continue his training for his upcoming rookie season in the NFL. In April, the New York native was selected in the sixth round by the Oakland Raiders, and has already received a taste of the NFL experience.

UCFAthletics.com caught up with Murray to reflect on being drafted and what he has learned so far with the Raiders. He also talked about representing UCF in California and what it was like coming back to campus to work out with his former teammates.

From 2008-12, Murray galloped his way into the UCF record book in impressive fashion. He ranks sixth all-time with 2,424 rushing yards, third by averaging 5.35 yards per carry and third with 37 rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, he sits only behind Kevin Smith (46) in overall touchdowns scored with 44.

Murray became the first player in school history to have a rushing touchdown in nine straight games when he accomplished the feat in 2012. He did not lose a fumble in his final 407 collegiate carries, and fumbled the ball just three times out of 453 attempts.
