ORLANDO, Fla. ( - UCF celebrated the unofficial end to the preseason Saturday by holding a scrimmage inside Bright House Networks Stadium. For all of the newcomers, it was the first time playing on their new home surface.

The Knights do have two more practices remaining early next week before they will start getting ready for Akron.

During the scrimmage, the first-team offense took on the second-team defense, and vice versa, for the first 45 minutes of action. The third and fourth teams saw time as well. To complete the first half, Sean Maag notched an interception on the final play before the break. When it retook the field, UCF went 1s vs. 1s to start the second half as the Knights ran approximately 100 plays on the day.

Before practice, UCF's coaches and players met with officials to go over new rules and points of emphasis for the upcoming season.
