ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Dec. 21 still seems like yesterday. Celebrating with UCF fans at Tropicana Field, and then taking the party to the parking lots and streets of St. Petersburg. The good vibes from the Beef `O' Brady's Bowl victory and a 10-win campaign continued through the holiday season.
But withdrawals kicked in. Quickly.
Football left us and would not return until August. The months of March and April did provide a temporary cure with spring camp, yet we craved more.
And in just one week, our waiting finally ends. So what to do until UCF clashes with Akron on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Bright House Networks Stadium?
Most Logical First Step
-Buy UCF Season Tickets
-Come out to Bright House Networks Stadium Friday night for the annual UCF Football FanFest
-Practice your tailgating skills by setting up shop in your driveway or front lawn. Do not worry what the neighbors think, in fact, invite them over for a delicious hot dog (with mustard).
-To help plan your date and time for your tailgate, visit the NFL Preseason Schedule Page. This way, you can check out when Former Knights will be playing this weekend.
-Break out the tent, TV, grill and anything else you require. Figure out what you are missing so you can make a run to the store so by the time it is gameday, you will be prepared.
-In the office, watch as many UCF football videos as you can until your boss gets concerned, or starts watching as well:

-Study up on this year's team by accessing this season's UCF Football Yearbook.
-Join the Knights on social media:
-Attend the George O'Leary Show in the stadium's recruiting lounge Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The radio show is aired live and is hosted by Marc Daniels. For just $6, fans will get a seat to listen to the show, food, drinks and the opportunity to ask questions during the program.
-Also take part in Lunch with George, which returns Wednesday before the game. More details will be announced soon.
-Sit around the house in UCF gear just because you can. Also wear that gear to the office, school, the grocery store and everywhere your daily adventures take you.
-Gameday! Kickoff Aug. 29 is at 7 p.m. so get there early to support the student-athletes who have put so much time and effort into preparing for this season.
