Knights Arrive in Happy Valley

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ( - UCF (2-0, 0-0) has landed in Happy Valley for its second road contest of the season against Penn State (2-0, 0-0). This will be the third meeting all-time between the two programs. Penn State leads the series at 2-0.

With a win on Saturday, the Knights will start the season at 3-0 for the first time since 1988. The Nittany Lions are coming off of a 45-7 home victory against Eastern Michigan. This contest is PSU's second of three consecutive home games.

UCF junior running back Storm Johnson enters Saturday's contest following a 128 all-purpose yard and three touchdown performance against FIU last week. Johnson leads the team and the American Athletic Conference with five total touchdowns and has 188 rushing yards on the season. Junior quarterback Blake Bortles has thrown for 528 yards and four touchdowns on the season. The Oviedo native has also thrown 217 pass attempts since his last interception, which is the longest active streak in the nation.

On defense for the Knights, junior linebacker Terrance Plummer continues to lead the team in tackles with 17. Behind him tied for 11 tackles on the year are Troy Gray and Clayton Geathers. Gray also recovered his first fumble of the season. That was the second week in-a-row that Gray forced a turnover for UCF. In the season opener, he grabbed his first career interception against Akron.

Saturday's Forecast calls for a zero percent chance of rain with the projected high at 65 degrees and the projected low at 46 degrees.
