ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The I-4 rivalry with USF will resume in Orlando Friday, Nov. 29, and the American Athletic Conference has announced kickoff will take place at 8 p.m. and air nationally on ESPN.
It will be the final home game of the season for the Knights at Bright House Networks Stadium, and eight student-athletes will be honored before the contest for Senior Day.
UCF and USF played every year from 2005-08, and both games in Orlando featured crowds of more than 46,000. This will be the first game between the Knights and Bulls when both schools are members of the same conference.
The Knights are ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25, No. 17 in the BCS and No. 19 in the Coaches Poll, and own an 8-1 overall record and are all alone atop The American standings with a 5-0 league mark after Saturday's heart-pounding 39-36 win at Temple. It was the Knights' fifth victory this year by seven points or less.
UCF has had a total of five games so far this year on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
Up next for UCF will be a Thursday-night tussle with Rutgers at 7:30 p.m. at Bright House Networks Stadium, also on ESPN. It will be the first Thursday-night home game on ESPN in program history, and fans can be a part of it by ordering tickets today online or by calling 407-UCF-1000.
