ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The deadline to get priority seating in the UCF section at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl is approaching fast! Orders received until Friday at 7 p.m. will be seated based upon Golden Knights Club points. Orders received after 7 p.m. tomorrow will be assigned seats on a best available basis.
To reserve your seats for No. 24 UCF's matchup with SEC power Georgia on Dec. 31 in Memphis, visit UCFBowl.com, or call (407) 823-1000. The UCF Athletics ticket office open special extended hours until 7 p.m. today and tomorrow.
"If you are unable to attend the game, please consider making a ticket donation, which will go a long way in supporting a couple very important causes. Each $50 ticket donation will serve to allow partners from St. Jude's Charities in Memphis to attend the game decorated in UCF black and gold beads and pom-poms as they cheer on their new favorite team. Your ticket donation will also serve to benefit UCF Athletics directly as we look to fill as much of our ticket allotment as possible for the bowl game." Go to UCFBowl.com to donate.
The Knights are ranked No. 24 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll and No, 25 in the final BCS standings on the strength of a 10-3 record in 2010 and their second C-USA championship in four years. In addition to a team which tops C-USA in four of the five major defensive categories (rushing, scoring, total and passing efficiency defense), the Knights have excelled as individuals as well. True freshman quarterback Jeff Godfrey stands eighth in the nation with his 165.28 efficiency rating and stands in the company of America's elite signal callers in this regard. Quincy McDuffie is second nationally in kickoff returns and Josh Robinson has moved up to fifth nationally in punt returns.
