SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (UCFKnights.com) -- UCF’s starters took part in an experience unlike they had ever experienced before Monday. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl held its annual Media Day at the Camelback Inn Monday morning.
UCF players aren’t unaccustomed to doing interviews. But doing it Super Bowl Media Day style with their own tables, podiums and a huge number of media members was a new and different experience, but the Knights embraced it.
“Seeing all the love and appreciation UCF is getting, that’s the big thing is,” senior offensive tackle Chris Martin said. “This is huge for our university and our town. That’s really why we’re doing this. We’ve had media day-type events at UCF, but nothing like this.”
With hundreds of media members in attendance, sophomore defensive lineman Thomas Niles said he enjoyed visiting with so many people.
“I’ve never seen this many cameras in one place at one time,” Niles said. “This is crazy.”
