ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) – Former UCF golfer Connor Arendell has qualified for the 2013 John Deere Classic, a PGA Tour event. Arendell took part in the John Deere Classic Open Qualifier Monday at Pinnacle Country Club in Milan, Ill.

Arendell carded a 6-under round of 66 to grab one of the four available qualifying spots. The John Deere Classic, with a total prize purse of $4,600,000, will be played Thursday-Sunday at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.

Arendell competed for the Knights from 2009-11. Playing for head coach Bryce Wallor, he earned All-Conference USA First Team honors in 2010-11 when he helped UCF claim the C-USA Championship title and earn a spot in the NCAA Regionals.
