ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) – UCF golfer Greg Eason will have the opportunity to take part in an official PGA Tour event next month. By virtue of being an All-America performer, Eason has been invited to take part in the Mylan Classic, which is part of the web.com Tour.
The Mylan Classic is scheduled for August 1-4 at the Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pa. The four-day event is a 72-hole, stroke-play competiton. The field will be cut to the top 60 golfers and ties after 36 holes. Golf Channel will televise all four rounds of the Mylan Classic. Eason recently finished his junior season by tying for eighth place at the NCAA Championship and was named a PING First-Team All-America honoree. He was the 2012-13 Conference USA Player of the Year, as well.
Eason and his Knights teammates begin the 2013-14 campaign at the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Grove, Ill. Sept. 6-8.
