ORLANDO, Fla. ( -- UCF head men’s golf coach Bryce Wallor has announced the signing of two student-athletes, who will be joining the Knights for the 2013-14 season. Ryan Stovash, who attends Lake Nona High School, and Federico Zucchetti, a native of Italy, have both signed National Letters of Intent to attend UCF.

“We are very excited to have Ryan Stovash and Federico Zucchetti join our program in the fall of 2013,” Wallor said. “Our coaching staff feels that we have found two very talented and driven young men who will play a key role in the future of our program.  Both Ryan and Federico bring a great deal of successful tournament experience to our team.”

Stovash is currently ranked No. 30 in the junior national rankings for the Class of 2013. He won the 2012 FHSAA District Tournament at Grand Cypress Golf Club. Stovash was the 2012 Florida Junior Boys Championship runner-up and finished 37th at the United States Junior Amateur Championship. He has posted 12 rounds of 72 or better in tournament play over the last year.

Zucchetti, who attends the American Overseas School of Rome, is currently ranked No. 477 in the R and A World Amateur Golf Rankings. He has been a member of the Italian Boys Amateur team for five years, beginning in 2008. Zucchetti took runner-up honors at the 2012 Trofeo Umberto Agnelli and the 2012 Italian Boys Under 18 Championship. Zucchetti was sixth at the 2012 Italian Stroke Play Championship. He tied for eighth as an individual at the 2012 European Boys Team Championship, he tied for 11th at the 2012 St. Andrews Links Trophy and was also tied for 22nd at the 2012 British Amateur Championship.

When they join the UCF squad next fall, Stovash and Zucchetti will be part of a program that has enjoyed incredible success under Wallor, who was named UCF's head coach in 2009. The Knights have won two Conference USA Championships and had a runner-up finish (2009, 2010 and 2011) under Wallor’s tutelage. UCF advanced to the NCAA National Championship this past spring and has taken part in NCAA Regional tournaments for the last five seasons. This fall, UCF has won two tournament championships. The Knights resume their 2012-13 season Feb. 9-10 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
